Beginning the enrollment process is an important step toward your child’s early education journey. By completing the form, you provide our admissions team with the information needed to review your application and guide you through the next stage.
Enrollment Requirements
- Age Eligibility
The French Maternal School welcomes children between the ages of 2 and 6 years old. Applicants must be at least 2 years old by September 1 and no older than 6 years old by June 1 of the school year.
- Potty Training
Children enrolled in Petite Section (PS), Moyenne Section (MS), and Grande Section (GS) must be fully potty trained before starting the program. For the Toute Petite Section (TPS) class, assistance is provided as children transition to independent toileting. Students in this group are expected to be fully potty trained by March of the current school year.
- Medical Requirements
Before enrollment is finalized, all students must meet the health requirements established by the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE). Children must have completed all age-appropriate immunizations and provide documentation of a physical examination, TB test, lead test, and required immunization records. Students ages 3 and older must also submit an oral health certificate. All medical documentation must be dated within one year of submission.
To confirm enrollment at The French Maternal School, families must submit the following documents:
- Completed FMS Application Form signed by both parents or guardians
- Enrollment Contract along with a $2,000 non-refundable deposit to secure the child’s placement
- Health Certificate
- Dental Assessment Form (required for children age 3 and older)
- Registration Record for Child Receiving Care Away From Home Form
- Authorization for Emergency Medical Treatment Form
- Travel and Activity Authorization Form
- Policies and Procedures Agreement signed by both parents or guardians
- Liability Waiver signed by both parents or guardians
- All additional documents included in the enrollment packet
All required forms and fees must be submitted within one week. If the school does not receive the necessary materials, The French Maternal School will contact the family twice. If the school does not receive a response, the offered space may be released to a student on the waitlist.
