The Cordero Parent Support Committee (CPSC) serves as the parent association of The French Maternal School. It was founded in 2013 by a group of dedicated parents, led by teacher and mother of four Marijoy Cordero, who believed that every school, regardless of size, benefits from a strong parent association. In 2014, it became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with the mission to support the school’s students, families, and teachers. Powered by volunteer parents, the committee works to strengthen connections within the school and enhance the experience for all families. Its primary annual event is the Gala and Art Sale, a central moment in the school year that brings the community together in support of this mission.

In addition, several standing and ad-hoc committees support the association’s activities and initiatives, including:

  • Annual Gala Committee
  • Art Sale Committee
  • Classroom Representatives
  • Meet and Greet/Picnic Committee
  • Parent Get-Together Committee
  • Gift Committee
  • Christmas Luncheon Committee
  • Teacher Appreciation and teacher birthdays Committee

The CPSC suggests an annual voluntary contribution of $200 per family. These funds help support various activities and programs organized by the association, including:

  • Teacher appreciation gifts
  • Picnic refresments and food
  • Social gatherings and community events
