Classical Music Education
Éveil Musical
At The French Maternal School, musical education is an integral part of the curriculum. Through the program known as Éveil Musical, students are introduced to the world of classical music in an engaging and age-appropriate way.
Listening activities help children develop their musical ear, listening skills, and appreciation for rhythm, melody, and storytelling through music.
Throughout the year, students discover well-known works from the classical repertoire, including:
- Peter and the Wolf – Sergei Prokofiev
- The Carnival of the Animals – Camille Saint-Saëns
- The Magic Flute – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
These pieces introduce children to musical instruments, characters, and themes while encouraging them to listen carefully and respond creatively.
Through these experiences, students begin to develop an early appreciation for classical music and the arts, enriching their cultural and artistic development.
